Hardcover for textbook

by Luba, 26 Nov 2020 (22:33 UTC)
Please clarify and help me make the right decision. When I downloaded all the files for my book and reached the Bookstore, I received a message that a Hardcover text book should be no more than 275 pages. My book has 286 pages. But on the website where you give the specification for the Hardcover, the number of pages is 480. Please explain why you warned me that 286 pages have a page dropping issue. How do I print 286 pages in Hardcover?

Hello Luba,

Thanks for reaching out!

While we can print up to 400+ pages in many of our products we typically recommend only including up to 275 pages per book. Page counts above this will of course still print/bind well, though over time the excess pages caused additional stress on the spine of the book and can cause the book to weaken more quickly than a book with fewer than 275 pages. You are still more than welcome to print your project of 286 pages.

Hope this helps but if you have any additional questions, please let us know!

Warm Regards,

Are there errors on this page?

by Uri Geva, 23 Sep 2020 (00:35 UTC)
(1) In the section "Printing Specifications" showing links above on the right side, both link #4 and link #5 are identical and point to the same page --->> https://www.prestophoto.com/index.php?structure_id=303.

(2) As I was typing this comment, the "I'm not a robot" feature, keeps losing its green check-mark every few seconds, requiring me to click it multiple times. After this happened several times, clicking the box does not restore the green check-mark and does not re-display a visual query. I had to reload the page, which caused me to type this comment all over again. This is quite annoying. (I'm using the latest version of Firefox browser.)

I thought you may want to know and maybe correct these issues.

Uri

Hello Uri,

Thanks for your post!

1. It looks like that link was accidentally added to the table of contents list twice. We have removed the duplicate link.
2. We have updated to a new Captcha system that should alleviate any issues you have.

If you have any questions, please let us know via email to support@prestophoto.com

Warm Regards.

do you still print 6x9

by karamat Hess, 03 Sep 2020 (01:40 UTC)
I don't know if it's a web glitch or not but I can't seem to order your 6x9 book size. Is it somethine you no longer offer?

Hi Karamat,

I believe we spoke via email/chat, but just wanted to post a reply here as well.

We do indeed still offer the 6x9 product. If you're not seeing that option on your Buy Now page, your uploaded PDF or Designer project may have been designed in a different size/ratio. If you're unsure of what size/ratio your project was designed in, just reach out to us directly with the Project ID# (or link to the project) and we would be happy to let you know!

If you have any questions, please let us know via email to support@prestophoto.com

I just received a large expensive book of 35mm photos shot in raw data. I could find no coupon so spent close to 200.00. I am very unhappy with the quality of the photos. The colors are not bright and most photos are dark. I used to do some developing myself, and it is as if the chemicals are old but I understand you do not process this way. I was ordering 6 more but unless you can make amendments, the one book cannot even be used as the one is. It is not representational of the vibrancy of color in the photos of the three weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia. Would you review my book and share thoughts?
