Lighthouse Facts
- The diamond pattern on Cape Lookout (pictured above) is meant to indicate direction. The side points of the black diamonds point in a north-south direction, while the side points of the white diamonds point east-west.
- The Boston Light was the first lighthouse to be built in the U.S. in 1716.
- The Ile Vierge is the tallest traditional lighthouse in the world.

PrestoPhoto picks the top 10 photos to be voted on - the photos weren't rejected because they didn't receive votes, we just narrowed the pool down to the top 10.
That said, I see your point, I agree that "Rejected" is a bit harsh - we should probably just fade out the ones that didn't make it to the voting stage. I will talk to our engineering team about that!
