RA 2012 - PAINTED DESERT

While watching an incoming snow storm, a crisp winter sun setting over the valley floor brings a sense of warmth to the landscape. I hiked into the wilderness area near Chinde Point and photographed for about an hour. This image was selected because it displays "moment," with the sun at the perfect angle to illuminate the distant mesas for just a few minutes. It was a cold, but beautiful night to experience these unspoiled scenic vistas.
