I haven't been around much recently because I spent most of the month of May in the US on home leave from Korea. While in Schenectady, NY, I purchased a Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 24-120 f4 VR lens. I went to Connecticut to visit my brother and mother, and decided to take a trip to the nearby Devil's Hop Yard State Park and captured many images putting the new toy through its paces. This is one of them taken on the Eightmile River running through the park. Air conditions had suddenly turned warm and humid and with the cold water flowing down the mountain stream, it created the prehistoric look seen here.

That is excellent, Joe ... composition, exposure, mood. You aren't missing a darned thing. Glad to see you back and to hear that you had a nice break home in the States.

Thank You, Rusty. Glad you like this image. I did have a nice break in the States; I got to meet my grandson for the 1st time even though he is already 21 months old.

Thank you, Julia. As with most of my photos, I will print this on A3 size paper and hang it on my wall, that is until I create another image to replace it, after which it goes into my portfolio.
