The "Ushuaia" Antarctic landings (Dec 8-19, 2006)

With thanks to the Ushuaia expedition crew. Our journey took us south, across the Drake Passage, to the South Shetland Islands. Into the Antarctic Sound for our first continental landing on the eastern side of the Antarctic Peninsula, we then returned to Deception Island in the South Shetlands. From there we traveled along the western side of the peninsula, with its many channels and islands, to the Argentine Islands, the southernmost point of our journey (Lat. 65°15’ S, Long. 64°16’ W). Finally, back north, via the Shetland Islands, to Ushuaia.
