The stories are written from the perspective of the author as a grandchild of Clarence F. Bartlett, Sr. (1880-1962). The breadth of coverage is 28 generations ranging from the author's grandson, Adrian Michael McCann (2024 – ) to his 26th great-grandfather, Baron Adam De Barttelot de Lisieux (1040 – 1100).
