Layflat-Stories-of-the-McCann-Family
The book comprises a set of narratives about the McCanns of Donaghmore origins in Ireland, their emigration from Belfast to Brooklyn in the early 20th century, and their settlement and assimilation in Park Slope. They highlight the family’s resilient and proud heritage, as well as their notable success in their adopted homeland. The stories are based on newspaper clippings, obituaries, censuses (and other government documents), and dinner-table craic, all backed by further intensive investigation. The stories are in no particular order, nor are they a comprehensive set.
