pdf or jpg?

Posted:01 Feb 2010 (23:27 UTC)
I am working on a children's scrapbook, which will include images and text. I am making each page in photoshop. At first, everything I read instructed to download the files as a pdf. Then, I just came across another area that said,

"You can upload the PDF's like normal images into a gallery. As long as there is one page per PDF, everything will work great. However, honestly you would be better off exporting everything out of PhotoShop as individual JPG's because we we will convert all the PDF's to .jpg's behind the scenes and reassemble the book from the converted JPG's. "

Now I am more confused. Can I do either? If so, what are the benefits/disadvantages to uploading as a jpg vs pdf? I am totally new to this, and it seems that the more I read, the more concerned I am that I am going to do something wrong. Thanks!

PS- if it makes a difference, I am making a 12x12" page, but may print various square sizes.

Thanks again!
