Marion,

greetings from PrestoPhoto and thank you for your interest.

You could upload one of two ways — 1) zipping your images in a folder or uploading via FTP.

I set up your account for FTP access. It should be more reliable if you put all the images in a folder on your computer and move the folder to PrestoPhoto. Here is a link about FTPing files to PrestoPhoto. Please make sure you read it so the process goes smoothly for you http://www.prestophoto.com/wiki/index.php?structure_id=443

You will need FTP software and we give you a link to get free downloadable software. To find that link, go to DASHBOARD and select the "upload images" link and you will see the FTP uploads tab. Select that and then select the "view Help" link and you will see the link to the free FTP software. After you download it don't forget to install the FTP software :)

Here is a general link about FTP http://www.prestophoto.com/wiki/Using+FTP+to+upload+images+to+PrestoPhoto

NOTE: using FTP is fairly simple. There are only 2 key elements that most people overlook which make it difficult.

  • They download the FTP software but don't install it on their PC
  • They don't use the proper login information. Use your user name NOT your login email address.

For best transfer results I would not upload a PDF any larger than 10 megs per page, and even that is exceptionally large. 5 megs would be normal high quality. If you make the file too large it slows down the uploading and printing process.

Ok, I figured out that if you try to upload to many pictures at once, the upload button disappears behind the gray banner at the bottom of the screen. It seems to work up to about 6 pictures.
