Adding pages

You can add pages but clicking the icon with a +1 over a sheet of paper in the bottom right of the thumbnail templates. (Hope that makes sense!)

I am part way through making a book. I need to add pages but can't find a way of doing this. I have deleted some pages, is this part of the problem? If so can I still use what I have createwd so far?
