Two PDF file formats from iPhoto 9.1.1

Posted:06 Jan 2011 (19:55 UTC)
Hello PrestoPhoto Support,

When I uploaded the PDF file generated by iPhoto 9.1.1 (right-click on the background area of the pages display, then "Save Book as PDF..."), I saw that I had the problem described before that the first two pages of the PDF file are the complete covers, one with flaps, the other without flaps. Reading the instructions again, I noticed that you're using the Print menu, and then PDF -> Save as PDF... This second method seems to produce a file corresponding to what PrestoPhoto expects; the problem here is that the new file size is 574MB instead of the 68MB produced by the first (and more convenient) method. Therefore, my questions are:
1.- Is the quality of the small file enough for printing a photo book?
2.- Would the printed book be of better quality if the large were used?
3.- Is there a way of fine-tuning the quality (and size) of a PDF file without buying an expensive product?
4.- Do you have plans to support the first (smaller) file format?
5.- Do you have plans to allow more than 500MB of storage per user?

Thank you very much for any advice.

Alain.
