Hi Roger,

Thank you for your question! The page count does not include the cover. Hope this helps!

Warm regards,

The Cover?

by Roger Gordon, 09 Aug 2013 (05:09 UTC)
Does the page count include the cover? For instance does a 20 page book mean 16 pages, plus 4 pages for the cover?

Re: The Cover?

by Shantelle, 30 Mar 2016 (15:32 UTC)
Hi Roger!

The pages are only a count of the interior. That 20 page book would be a total of 20 interior pages with the covers not included. :)

Recommended margins, part 2

by Kevin Tabari, 04 Apr 2012 (20:32 UTC)
Thanks for the quick response. Another question: is there a way to see a sample of your print quality? Can you send us a test of a page or something like that for a small fee? Also, what is the silk and satin paper? Thanks.

Greetings from PrestoPhoto, and thank you so much for your interest!

Working hard to keep our prices low for our customers, has enabled us to have some of the most competitive prices on the market! One of the ways we are able to achieve this is by not offering paper samples.

We do encourage you to make a sample project of your own that would enable to you to see the excellent quality of our papers! Many people just upload a handful of their favorite pictures and create a 10 page 9x7 softcover to see the results. For $10.00 (USD) and not much of your time, you can accomplish a personalized sample of the product that you'll enjoy for years to come!

Here's a link to our page that will tell you all about our Papers and Bindings! If you have any further questions let us know and we'll do our best to help.

Recommended margins for bordered images

by Kevin Tabari, 04 Apr 2012 (18:26 UTC)
I am assembling a 5x7 book as an architectural brochure for my firm. We've assembled the document in In-Design and exported it as a PDF. We've each left side page is a full-bleed image, and the right side page has images and text with a consistent border around it. The question that I have is this: we've tacked on an extra 1/8" to all sides of each page for cropping (per PrestoPhoto 's suggestion). Beyond that, how much of a white border is recommended to achieve a consistent look? Currently I'm assuming an additional 1/8" border. Should that be bumped up to 1/4"? Thanks for the feedback.

Greetings, Kevin!

Since a 5 x 7 book is considered a mini book, you may want to bump it up to 1/4 since the trim is much more aggressive on small books.

If I want to print 100 books is there a discount that is applied for this quantity?

by PrestoPhoto Support, 31 Jan 2012 (13:43 UTC)
Greetings from PrestoPhoto!

Yes we do offer a bulk discount rate that applies to any bulk printing of one book. It is determined by the amount of books being printed in that run, 100 books will accomplish a 15% bulk discount.

You can easily asses a price quote by visiting our Product Catalog here: http://www.prestophoto.com/wiki/Catalog One of the best parts is that the bulk discount is already calculated into the quote.

If you have any specific questions in reference to a quote though please feel free to email us at support@prestophoto.com

Max. page count ?

by , 01 Jun 2011 (05:36 UTC)
Does the page count stand for double sided page as 1 page in printing terms or as 2 pages in design terms ?

I'm assuming front / back both together is considered as one page not two, if so, that'd be great. As I have 100 pictures, so that should be 50 pages instead of 100 pages exceeding the max page counts.

Thanks much!
