Pricing Formula

Since every photo book is different, we have a simple formula to determine each book's price:

NOTE: each side of a piece of paper is one page — just like a novel.

Base Cost + (Number of Pages * Page Cost) = Cost of Photo Book

Pricing formula for Photo Books: Base Cost + (Number of Pages * Page Cost) = Cost of Photo Book

Example for a 20 page perfect bound softcover book:

$4.99 + (20 * $.50) = $14.99

Text with photos

by yokomia, 21 Mar 2022 (20:03 UTC)
I chatted with someone at Presto Photo and found out, Tara Marie, that you can print both text and photos in a book. I asked if it was only printed on photo paper as that seems to be the only option on the catalog page. However, I was told that there is a variety of paper and there is paper that isn't traditional "photo" paper. In fact, you can order a free sample pack of paper here: https://www.prestophoto.com/bookstore/1-Product-Sample-Kit

Good luck!

Is it possible to create a book that is mostly text but with some photos?

by Tara Marie Harwood, 19 Mar 2022 (22:14 UTC)
I have a book that is about 100 pages of text, but I also need about 5 pages of color photos. Is there a way to have both in a book? Thank you!

Hi Tara!

Yes, you can absolutely have both in a book! It is very common for people to print books that are heavy in both photos and text content.

Thanks,

William

Custom Fees

by Dimitris Chronis, 19 Oct 2020 (12:57 UTC)
Are there custom fees for shipping in the European Union? Do you print and ship from States?

Re: Custom Fees

by MJ, 11 Nov 2020 (17:55 UTC)
Hi Dimitris,

Thanks for your post!

We do indeed print and ship from the US to the EU. Since customs fees are determined by the destination country and are up to the discretion of the customs official, we do not have a way to determine if an order will or will not be charged customs fees. Customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient and we do not calculate any potential customs fees into our shipping costs.

Question: I am putting together an album, text and pictures that were scanned, on Microsoft Publisher. How many pages can I submit for a book that is 13 x 10. Thank you.

Metalic Foil Printing?

by Evan, 20 Feb 2020 (02:20 UTC)
Can you do metallic foil printed fonts on the front hard cover of the 11X14? Additionally, do you have any alternatives to smooth gloss hardbacks? I'm looking for something with a rough texture.

Hi Evan,

Thanks for your post!

We do not offer any metallic foiling or custom cover textures unfortunately. We offer a Standard Gloss Lamination and some of our products are available with a Matte Lamination if you're looking for something with less "shine".

questions

by Daniel Webster, 16 Sep 2020 (23:44 UTC)
I see lots of questions but no answers. Why take questions if you do not answer them?

Re: questions

Hi Daniel,

The Customer Forums were designed to be a resource where customers could message with other customers for help and feedback.Through the years, the forums have become less popular and have transitioned into a place where customers ask questions that would otherwise be asked via email or live chat.

The forums are not monitored as frequently as emails or chats are, unfortunately, so it can take us a bit of time to get to all the questions that are asked here. Additionally, many questions that you see that are unanswered on the forums were actually answered via a direct email or chat, as they are .

If you have any specific questions, please let us know via email to support@prestophoto.com

Warm Regards,
